Media buzzed on fruit fly science news | email to someone | printer friendly
In the past two weeks, there have been three hot papers on the fruit fly Drosophila which have generated quite some buzz in the media. One dealt with imaging brain activity for long stretches of time, another focused on the common genetic basis of attention and memory and the third showed that flies have evolved optimal searching strategies.
I'm trying to cover each of these in a separate post, but if you can't wait for them, go ahead and read the original publications.
