Peer-reviewed creationism journal news | email to someone | printer friendly
As I just learned from the Action Potential blog of Nature Neuroscience (ok the post is 11 days old, but it was news to me!), the lunatic creationist fringe has started a new effort to prove the earth flat, dead in the center of a crystal bowl and standing on top of a turtle. Answers in Genesis has launched a new journal titled "Answers Research Journal". As the title says, they already have all the answers, they just need some "research" to back them up:
[ARJ will provide] scientists, students, and supporters the results of cutting-edge research that demonstrates the validity of the young-earth model, the global Flood, the non-evolutionary origin of “created kinds,” and other evidences that are consistent with the biblical account of origins.

From the "about" page.
What I wonder is: AiG has this great book where all the answers to all the questions are. Why do they waste their time with this nonsense? Why attempt research when you already know what comes out?

Whenever I read stuff like this I wonder how these people survive in the world out there. With minds bent and crooked like this, how can they even see straight? How can one survive with a mind so isolated from the senses?

Anyway, almost as hilarious as the AiG website are the comments to the Action Potential post. Go and read them and be amazed at how warped a mind can be without breaking special.png
